RAMÓN DO CASAR
TREIXADURA

Watching the treixadura grape develop makes us
think about its vigour in the face of adversity.
An ability to adapt to its environment that connects it with
our origins, with the memory of our land and
with the passing of time.

A local variety that without a doubt reigns supreme
in the world of the senses.

Once this is complete, the wines are drawn off into new stainless steel vats, where they remain for 2-3 months on their own lees.

The phase of clarifying, filtering and bottling the wine takes place in February.

It is laid down for a month in the winery before, with the winemaker’s approval, going onto the market.

Straw yellow in colour with slight olive-green nuances, very clean and bright.

A direct, clean, elegant and highly intense aroma. A mixture of citrus and herbal notes over light floral hints, in which grapefruit, fennel, grass, mimosa, white rose and rosemary stand out.

In the mouth it is harmonious, balanced, highly persistent, well structured and delivers all the crispness of the fruit to leave us with a long, aromatic aftertaste.

Environment shapes character.
Our treixadura, the variety par excellence
of the D.O. Ribeiro, is characterised by its late
budding and ripening.
It is a vigorous grape, but also very sensitive
to changes and to the surroundings in which it grows.

At Ramón do Casar we believe we have found
a perfect home for it, and it proves this every year
by giving us some surprising nuances.
